Who we are
“Prop Firm Base”, “we”, “us” refers to the operator of the website at propfirmbase.com, an independent comparison service for futures proprietary trading firms. For any privacy question you can reach us at info@propfirmbase.com or through our contact page. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect
We keep data collection to what the site actually needs:
- Deal-alert subscriptions. If you sign up for deal alerts we store your email address, your subscription status, the page you signed up from, and the timestamps and tokens needed to confirm and later unsubscribe you (double opt-in).
- Contact messages. If you use the contact form we receive the name, email address and message you submit, so we can reply.
- Account data. If you create an account or sign in, we store the credentials and session information required to authenticate you.
- Usage and device data. Like most sites, our analytics and hosting providers automatically receive technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring URLs.
We do not ask for or want your trading-account passwords, broker logins, or payout details. Never send those to us.
How we use it
- To send the deal alerts and rule-change notifications you asked for.
- To reply to your messages and provide support.
- To operate, secure and improve the site and understand which content is useful.
- To measure affiliate referrals so partners can attribute sign-ups (see below).
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Our legal bases (where the GDPR applies) are your consent for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, our legitimate interests in running and improving the site, and legal obligation where the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in and keep the site secure. Analytics tools - including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and Vercel Speed Insights - help us understand aggregate traffic and performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; essential features may stop working if you block the necessary ones.
Affiliate links
When you click a link to a prop firm, the destination site may set its own cookie to credit us with the referral if you sign up. That is governed by the firm’s own privacy policy, not ours. See our affiliate disclosure for how this funds the site.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers (processors) that run the site on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to our instructions:
- Vercel - hosting and performance analytics for the site.
- Resend - sending transactional and deal-alert emails.
- Google - analytics and tag management.
- A managed database and storage provider for storing subscriber records and site content.
We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the site.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep subscriber data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, plus a short period for our records. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for reasonable follow-up. Analytics data is retained according to our providers’ standard retention periods.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California’s CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, or exercise any of these rights by emailing info@propfirmbase.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them, and you may complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
The site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures - encryption in transit, hashed credentials, access controls and reputable infrastructure - to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves or the law changes. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version; material changes will be made prominent on this page.
